Call for Artists
The Arts Club Theatre Company is looking for visual artists to participate in our silent art auctions at the Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage in the 2008/2009 season. The auctions are a fundraising initiative for the Arts Club Theatre Company, a not-for-profit charity, to further our mandate to produce and develop stimulating, quality theatre for the enrichment of the community.
The Auction:
• For every production at the Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage, we curate an exhibit in the lobby of the theatre which runs for the duration of each production (about 1 month). Bids can also be made through our website. The first auction of the season will begin September 2008.
Artist Benefits:
• Selected artists will have their work viewed by over 18,000 patrons, making this a great opportunity to gain exposure, develop new patrons and earn some revenue. While attending the show, patrons will have the opportunity to bid on the artwork selected. Artists will receive 25% of the final bid for their piece and a charitable tax receipt for the remaining 75%.
What We Are Looking For:
• Professional works (paintings) of any size or medium with a conservative subject matter
How to Apply
• Please submit a photograph of your finished piece of work, a description of the piece including its size and value, and an artist bio (maximum 50 words).
All submissions will be judged for suitability. Only those artists considered will be contacted.
